3. Legal Basis for Processing (EU & UK Residents)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, we process your personal information on the following legal bases:

5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: We share information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Service, including Stripe (payment processing), Supabase (authentication and data storage), and Umami (privacy-focused analytics). These providers are permitted to use your information only as necessary to perform services on our behalf and are required to protect it.
- Third-Party Login Providers: If you choose to sign in using Google or Apple, those providers will authenticate your identity on our behalf. Your use of Google or Apple login is subject to their respective privacy policies. We receive only the information necessary to create and manage your account, such as your name and email address.

- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change and any choices you may have.
6. Cookies
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. We use cookies only where necessary for the Service to function, including to keep you logged in to your account and remember your preferences.
You can configure your browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent. Please note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of certain features of the Service, including account login.
7. Analytics
We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to help us understand how visitors use the Service, including which pages are visited most frequently and how users navigate the platform. Umami does not use cookies, does not collect personal information, and does not track users across websites. We use this information solely to improve the Service.
8. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, maintain your account, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Specifically:
- Account information is retained for the duration of your account and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.
- Payment records are retained as required by applicable tax and accounting laws (typically seven years in Canada).
- Technical and usage data is retained for a shorter period sufficient for analytics and security purposes.
When your information is no longer required, we delete or anonymize it in a secure manner. You may request deletion of your personal information at any time — see Section 10.
